How is the shielding frame welded to the PCB?

The frame bottom has multiple solder pads for direct welding to the PCB via SMT reflow soldering or wave soldering. Pad design follows IPC standards, with the welding process identical to standard BGA or QFP chip soldering—fully automated.
What is the frame grounding approach?

Frame bottom and sidewalls are electrically connected to the PCB ground plane. We recommend designing ground vias around the frame perimeter for 360-degree complete grounding, maximizing shielding effectiveness. Design guidelines provide detailed specifications.
Can partitions be added inside the frame for multi-cavity isolation?

Completely supported. We can integrate multiple partitions within one frame creating independent shielding spaces for different RF circuits. Partitions can be welded or snap-fit, customizable per requirements.
Can the frame support heights below 3mm?

Possible but requires special processes. Ultra-low heights (2-3mm) need precision stamping and possibly progressive die design. Notify us of height requirements early in design phase for feasibility assessment.
Can frame protection grade achieve IP65?

The open-frame design alone cannot achieve IP65. Combined with conductive gaskets and cover, complete sealing is possible. We recommend our complete two-piece shielding solution which includes sealing gaskets.
What is the frame cost and lead time?
